Encuentro en Gijón

Hoy damos la bienvenida a un grupo de alumnos, alumnas y profes procedentes de tres centros europeos: Heathfield Community School (Taunton, Inglaterra), Merewade College (Gorinchem, Holanda) y Mariengymnasium Jever (Jever, Alemania). Nuestros alumnos y alumnas de 3º de ESO involucrados en el proyecto llevan semanas trabajando muy duro para preparar este encuentro. Éste es el apretado programa de actividades que han diseñado para los próximos días.

Preparation of the Tuesday

    
Tuesday´s group we went to Oviedo to prepare the day and we take pictures in some of the places that we are going to visit with our partners.


                                  
                                  
                                  
                                  

 Friday 11th

Today it was te last day, at nine o'clock a bus we caught a bus that brought us to the  Taunton station, there we caught a train that went to the Station of Reading, it was an about an hour and a half journey.

When we arrived at Reading another train brought us to the Gatwick airport. When we arrived at the airport we bought the tickets and we passed the control, in the airport we bought lots of things.

The journey to Spain was really fast, when we arrived we took the bags and all our families were there to receive us.

In my opinion it was a nice journey, I learnt a lot and i made lots of friends. 

 

 

Thursday 10th

Today we had a class with an islamic artist, he showed us the different words and letters and the different types of arabic art.

After an hour some of us went shopping because today we had to cook some of our traditional dishes. I made pancakes and hazelnuts.

 Then we had a party we ate the food that we made it was all really good, then we had music and we danced. We took lots of photos, it was a really good night.

WEDNESDAY 8th

On Wednesday we went to Bath.
There we went to the Roman Baths, a beautiful museum about how were and how were them built .

Then the English students made a guided tour and later we went shopping.

Finally, we ate cornish pasties.
Cornish pasties are pastry filled with meat and potatoes.
It was a great day!

Tuesday 8th

Vivary Park High Ropes

This was the first activity that we did the Tuesday. All the people enjoy it, it was the best activity that we did in the week.

The Taunton Museum had lots of interesting things. It was very good.

Somerset Dairy Farm

We visited the farm of Somerset, the farmer told us about the cows and the milk.

Monday 7th

In the morning we went to the school. There we had to do the presentations about our country. After that, the english ones guided us through the school to show us all the rooms and buildings they have. We also did some P.E. activities to know each others better, and then we prepared our own food in one of the school's kitchen. We had lunch in the school too.

In the afternoon we were walking to the bowling and when we finished, each of us went to their house.

At night, some of us met together to have dinner. We went to eat pizza and it was fantastic to make more friends.
